Normative Standards
This agenda for action presupposes a common commitment to a society which functions under the rule of law, intends equality of treatment and opportunity for all, and seeks inclusive, democratic participation.
These principles are the essence of International Conventions and European Directives intended to serve as foundations for national law and practice. Relevant international instruments lay out normative language intended for incorporation in national legislation and ensuing practice.
