  • European Union Sites

    • EU Anti-discrimination and relations with civil society
      The European Commission's website on non-discrimination in the European Union. This site provides information on all aspects of EU action - both laws and policies - to combat discrimination. You can find out more about European non-discrimination legislation, activities supported under the Community Action Programme to combat discrimination, and access the latest news and publications.
    • 2007 - European Year of Equal opportunities for all
      The website of the European Year of Equal Opportunities for All (2007). The site explains the aims of the Year and the way it operates. It also features a timetable outlining the key stages leading up to the year.
    • European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) (SOC Section)
      The SOC Section covers a broad range of policy formulation including employment, working conditions, occupational health, social protection, social security, social inclusion, gender equality, combating discrimination, improving free movement, immigration/integration and asylum, education and training, citizens' rights, and participatory democracy in the EU.
    • European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC)
      The primary task of the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) is to provide the Community and its Member States with objective, reliable and comparable information and data on racism, xenophobia, islamophobia and anti-Semitism at the European level in order to help the EU and its Member States to establish measures or formulate courses of actions against racism and xenophobia.

    • Migration Policy Group
      MPG addresses policy development on migration and anti-discrimination, with the aim of generating innovative and effective responses to the challenges and opportunities of migration and diversity. MPG focuses on three core policy areas: diversity & integration, equality & anti-discrimination, and migration & mobility. It engages with stakeholders from all sectors of society.
    • Ireland Embracing Cultural Diversity: National Action Plan Against Racism
      National Action Plan Against Racism (NPAR) originates from commitments given by Governments at the United Nations World Conference Against Racism in South Africa in 2001. The decision to develop the NPAR was further reaffirmed in Sustaining Progress, the Ireland Social Partnership Agreement 2003-2005. The emphasis throughout the Plan is on developing reasonable and common sense measures to accommodate cultural diversity in Ireland.
  • International Organizations

    • European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (Council of Europe)
      ECRI's task is to combat racism, xenophobia, antisemitism and intolerance at the level of greater Europe and from the perspective of the protection of human rights. ECRI's action covers all necessary measures to combat violence, discrimination and prejudice faced by persons or groups of persons, notably on grounds of "race", colour, language, religion, nationality and national or ethnic origin.
  • Social Partners

    • European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) / Migration policy
      The ETUC exists to speak with a single voice, on behalf of the common interests of workers, at European level. Its prime objective is to promote the European Social Model and to work for the development of a united Europe of peace and stability where working people and their families can enjoy full human and civil rights and high living standards. The ETUC stands for fair and equal treatment for migrant workers throughout Europe.
    • International Organization of Employers (IOE) / Migration
      The mission of the IOE is to promote and defend the interests of employers in international fora, particularly in the International Labour Organization (ILO), and to this end works to ensure that international labour and social policy promotes the viability of enterprises and creates an environment favourable to enterprise development and job creation. IOE is actively engaged in the creation and capacity building of representative organisations of employers, particularly in both the developing world and those countries in transition to the market economy.
  • Civil Society Organizations

    • European Network Against Racism (ENAR)
      ENAR is a network of European NGOs working to combat racism in all EU member states. ENAR aims to fight racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, to promote equality of treatment between EU citizens and third country nationals, and to link local/regional/national initiatives with European initiatives.
    • Internet Center Anti-Racism Europe (ICARE)
      The information disseminator for the European NGO community working in the field of anti-discrimination.
    • UNITED for Intercultural Action
      European network against nationalism, racism, fascism and in support of migrants and refugees. Voluntary cooperation of more than 560 organizations in European countries working together - united in the biggest anti-racism network, for the rights of refugees and migrants, for an end to racism, nationalism and discrimination, respecting different approaches, promoting cooperation across national and cultural borders, and making our multicultural societies work.
