Wages and incomes: Wages fixing in the public sector

In every country, the public sector is undertaking in-depth restructuring, which may be implemented directly in a short period of time or more gradually through a step-by-step method. In each case, the aim is to reduce the cost of the public sector as well as to improve its efficiency. From a wage perspective, new methods of remuneration and career development are being sought in order to motivate the civil service workforce and make it more flexible.
