Many government and social partners around the world have been debating on the nature and causes of growth in non-standard employment.

The authors of this paper analyze the case of the Republic of Korea which has witnessed a sharp increase in non-regular employment, inviting debates on appropriate policy measures.

The paper shows that along with increases in non-regular employment, the gaps in job quality between regular and non-regular workers have widened.
