| William Salter is Senior Adviser in the International Labour Office's Conditions of Work and Employment Programme, responsible for its work on improving working conditions in small and micro-enterprises and the informal economy. He spent several years as ILO senior specialist on working conditions in South-East Asia and the Pacific, where he supported efforts by national and local organizations to promote improved working conditions and initiated, jointly with Gopal Joshi (enterprise development specialist), a new ILO package to address working conditions issues in the context of a business training programme for micro and small enterprises. |
