The Office of the Mediator is an independent, impartial, neutral and confidential resource for resolving work-related problems through dialogue and mediation. The Mediator is an informal resource with no role in the formal grievance procedures.
Services are available to anyone with a contractual relationship with the ILO. In situations involving sexual harassment, services are also available to job applicants.
The Mediator assists in conflict prevention by reporting to the Joint Negotiating Committee on systemic work-related problems. In addition, the Mediator can facilitate team-building and/or conflicr prevention workshops.
