International inter-agency activities
The ILO is actively involved in a number of United Nations activities and processes of relevance to indigenous and tribal peoples. It also participates regularly at UN fora of relevance to these peoples. The ILO has, for example, been closely collaborating with other UN agencies within the context of the Inter-Agency Support Group on Indigenous Issues. It has also actively participated at the Working Group on Indigenous Populations, the UN Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection on Human Rights, the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and other meetings.
