Dr. Giuseppe Casale is the Chief of the Social Dialogue, Labour Law and Labour Administration Branch of the ILO, Geneva. He holds a PhD, M.A. and C.Phil from the University of California, Los Angeles; an M.A. from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, The Johns Hopkins University; and a doctorate in political science from the University of Firenze. He is visiting professor in comparative and international labour law at the universities of Gorizia, Cagliari and Bari. He has lectured in comparative labour law and industrial relations in European and US universities. He is a member of the editorial board of several journals and treasurer of the International Society of Labour and Social Security Law. Among his publications: Social Dialogue and Poverty Reduction Strategies (ILO, 2006), Glossary of Labour Law and Industrial Relations (ILO, 2005).
