The Korean Journal of Industrial Relations (KJIR) edited by the Korea Industrial Relations Association calls papers. The scope of the journal includes all fields of Industrial relations, both theoretical and positive. Articles can be in Korean or in English. Submitted papers should make an original contribution to scholarship. Work that has been previously published or that is under submission for publication elsewhere will not be considered.

The journal is published twice a year, in June (No. 1) and in December (No. 2). Articles can be in Korean or in English. Deadlines for submission are April 30 and October 30. Papers will undergo the review process after these deadlines.

Each year the best article will be selected among the articles that are published in the KJIR and will be awarded with the prize scholarship of USD 4,000 (5 million Korean won).

Article: papers of less than 12,000 words
Survey Article: reviews of less than 12,000 words

Copyright:

Copyright to an article published is held by the Korean Industrial Relations Association. Upon acceptance of an article, author(s) will be asked to transfer copyright of the article to KIRA. Membership of the Korean Industrial Relations is not required.

Manuscript Preparation:

Papers should be accompanied by a letter stating that the work is unpublished and not under submission elsewhere. Papers should be sent in triplicate to: Prof. Young-bum Park, Department of Economics and Knowledge, Hansung University, 2-389 Samsundong, Sungbukgu, Seoul, South Korea,

Papers should be double-spaced, with wide margins, and printed on one side of the paper only. All pages should be numbered consecutively. The title page should include the article title, author(s)' name(s) and permanent affiliations, keywords (up to five), and an abstract of not more than 100 words. A footnote on the same page should give the name, current address, email address and telephone and fax numbers of the corresponding author. The authors' names should appear only on the title page.

Section numbers should be as follows:

References, tables and legends for figures should be printed on separate pages. Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and numbered consecutively throughout the text with superscript Arabic numerals. Equations should be numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript as (1), (2), etc., against the right-hand margin of the page.

Authors will be asked to submit a hard copy and an electronic copy of the paper with the final version of the article. The electronic copy should match the hardcopy exactly. The hardcopy should include detailed typesetting information, e.g. italic, subscript, etc. Figures and tables are to be submitted as Word/Excel files.

References to publications should be as follows: Name (Year [Pages]), for example Smith (1992) or Smith (1990, pp. 160-2). In the reference list at the end of the article, all references should appear as follows:

Journal titles should not be abbreviated.

Reprints are available at cost.
