Professor Olusegun O. Matanmi is a professor of human resources and industrial relations, and the immediate-past Dean of the Postgraduate School, Lagos State University, Ojo-Lagos, Nigeria. He possesses a B.Sc (Hons) in Sociology from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, an M.A. in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA, and a Ph.D in Industrial and Organizational Sociology from Michigan State University, East Lansing, USA. He is a Commonwealth Fellow in Human Resource Management, and Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Human Capital Managers (Nigeria).

Prof. Matanmi has been a career academician as well as a practicing Consultant on labor and employment relations management, sustainable national development programming and management, general human capital development, executive management capacity-building interventions, and professional leadership and organizational development appraisals for quality assurance, variously (and since the 1990s) for the Nigeria Country Office of the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and leading Business Schools in Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa, among others. He is specialized in some particular core areas of academic and professional managerial competencies, including: high-performance organizational systems design, strategic human resource management modeling and applications, employee engagement and performance/productivity management, diversity and inclusion management, entrepreneurship development and innovation management as well as metrics/analytics, testing, measurement and systematic data-gathering for holistic organizational system analysis.
