Before joining YEN, I worked for the Social Protection Unit of the World Bank. My research interests and recent studies focus on skills development and design and implementation of active labor market programs for disadvantaged workers, especially youth. Currently, I am the evaluation specialist of YEN and supports the work of the Youth Entrepreneurship Facility with numerous activities in the area of monitoring and impact evaluation. I hold an M.A. in Economics from Georgetown University.

Silvia Paruzzolo, Evaluation Specialist
also Task Leader: Youth Entrepreneurship Facility

I am an evaluation specialist at YEN and I support the work of the Youth Entrepreneurship Facility with numerous activities in the area of monitoring and evaluation (M&E). Before joining YEN, I worked for the International Center for Research on Women and the World Bank. My key areas of focus have been the design and implementation of impact evaluations, as well as building the capacity of evaluation professionals and practitioners through the design and delivery of M&E workshops.  I hold a Masters in Economics and a PhD in Public Administration, both from Bocconi University. My PhD dissertation investigates different dimensions of evaluation as a tool to foster organizational learning.

Drew Gardiner, Technical Officer,
also Task Leader: Fund for Evaluation in Youth Employment

I am a Technical Officer with the Youth Employment Network. I joined the YEN Secretariat in Geneva in August 2008 where I am responsible for YEN’s Fund for Evaluation in Youth Employment as well as our communication and knowledge sharing actitivies. Before joining YEN, I led youth and child development projects in Zambia and Senegal. I have an MBA from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commercial at the University of Geneva.

Felix Weidenkaff, Junior Technical Officer,

Felix joined the Youth Employment Network (YEN) as Junior Technical Officer in April 2012. He supports the work of the Youth Employment Inventory in the area of monitoring and impact evaluation of youth employment programmes in Kenya and Egypt. Before joining YEN, Felix worked for the Entrepreneurship Section of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva. Felix holds an M.Sc. in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Tendai Pasipanodya, Sub-Regional Coordinator,
YEN West Africa Office

I started working in April as Sub Regional Coordinator for YEN’s office in West Africa, based in Dakar, Senegal. Originally from Zimbabwe, I obtained my Masters Degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and later worked as an Economic Development Consultant for the consulting company Shared Intelligence in London.

Minna Mattero, Regional Youth-to-Youth Fund Coordinator,
Youth Entrepreneurship Facility

I am the Program Officer in charge of the Youth-to-Youth Fund, one of the key components of the new Youth Entrepreneurship Facility for East Africa – a joint program of YEN and ILO supported by the Danish led Africa Commission. I am based in Dar Es Salaam where the Facility has its regional hub.I have experience in designing and implementing youth grant programs at the World Bank, where I worked for eight years.

Noreen Toroka, National Youth-to-Youth Fund Coordinator,

I joined the YEN’s office for East Africa in April as a National Program Officer supporting the Youth to Youth Fund component of the Youth Employment Facility (YEF) in Tanzania. I have experience in grant management and designing and implementing development programmes at the ILO, working as Programme Officer for the International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC).
