YEN Mission Statement

YEN works to engage, educate and motivate actors to provide improved employment opportunities for youth. It is a platform and service provider focusing on policy advice, innovative pilot projects, knowledge sharing, and brokering partnerships. YEN makes use of its core agency partners’ know how and resources and ensures youth participation in delivering its services.

21 Lead Countries who have commited to developing and implementing National Action Plans (NAP) on youth employment.
Competitive Grant Scheme

On December 1, 2008, the Grant Scheme was officially launched. Applicants can download the application form, guidelines and an information note here.

Private Sector Initiative
A multi-stakeholder platform for business action on youth employment in West Africa.
Youth Employment Databank for West Africa
Online databank offering information on organisations implementing youth employment projects in West Africa.

Grant Scheme Winners to be announced in early May 2009

On February 14th, 2009, YEN closed the call for applications to its Competitive Grant Scheme. YEN would like to thank all of the 280 organzations who applied. The grant winners are expected to be announced in early May 2009.
