World and Regional Estimation
|
As part of a broader goal in the ILO to better inform policymakers and researchers of the key trends in
labour markets that ultimately determine the status and well being of the world's workers, the Employment
Strategy Department's Employment Products Team produces world and regional estimates of labour market indicators such as
employment, unemployment, labour productivity and working poverty, among a few others, with many estimates
available disaggregated by age and sex. The Employment Strategy Department has a growing literature that
details the modelling techniques and aggregation methodologies used to generate these estimates.
