Main Activities of the IFP/SKILLS Technical Cooperation
 

  • Facilitate the management, implementation and technical follow-up of all technical cooperation activities.
  • Provide technical and procedural advice at all stages of the project/programme cycle (identification, formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation).
  • Undertake appraisal and quality control of all project proposals/documents including priority, relevance, technical approach, quality, etc. (process flow, peer review, technical appraisal).
  • Assure the link with other on-going programmatic activities of IFP/SKILLS and assist in the operationalisation of IFP/SKILLS research results in technical cooperation activities.
  • Provide technical support to the development of methodologies, products and tools and to their integration into technical cooperation projects (e.g. CBT/working poor, training SMEs/HPWOs, MES, etc.).
  • Promote with users the training tools, products and methodological guides.
  • Collect, synthesize and disseminate operational information, and
  • Promote synergies and internal complementaries within the sector and with related activities and with the structures in the field, as appropriate.
  • Assure the mainstreaming of gender concerns in all stages of the project/programme cycle.
  • Provide an on-going link with the Department for Development Cooperation (CODEV).
  • Support IFP/SKILLS management in promoting with relevant donors IFP/SKILLS products and TC programmes.
  • Assure that particular target groups specific concerns (youth, older workers, people with disabilities) are integrated in all stages of the project/programme cycle
  • Assure in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation that the sustainability of all interventions is assured .
