Capacity-building programme for employment promotion, gender equality and poverty eradication for the Arab States
The ILO Regional Office for Arab States is jointly executing this project with the International Training Centre, Turin. The Centre for Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR) and the Arab Gulf Programme for United Nations Development (AGFUND) are respectively the main cooperating agency and donor. The main objective is to strengthen the capacity not only of national and regional stakeholders in addressing the inter-linkages between gender, poverty and employment but also of CAWTAR in delivering training services to the region.

Mainstreaming gender dimension into the policies and programmes for the poverty eradication and employment generation in Latin America
This project started in July 2002 and covers Honduras, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina and Paraguay. The main executing bodies are the ILO Regional Office for Americas and the Multidisciplinary Advisory Teams for Southern Americas, in partnership with the GENDER Bureau, the ILO INTEGRATION Department and ILO International Training Centre, Turin, and the Netherlands.

Capacity-building for employment promotion, gender equality and poverty eradication, South Africa
The International Training Centre, Turin implemented this project in partnership with the South African Commission on Gender Equality and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) as strategic cooperating agencies, and the Ministry of the Flemish Community of Belgium as the main donor. It aimed at strengthening South Africa's capacity in designing and implementing policies and programmes for promoting employment, gender equality and social protection as the principal means for poverty eradication.
