This CD on the Revision of the Human Resource Development Recommendation (No. 150) of 1975 is intended to serve as a tool for those interested in international and national instruments concerning human resource development and training, and in particular for ILO constituents involved in its proposed revision, an item of discussion scheduled for the 91st session of the International Labour Conference in 2003.
The CD includes the complete report "Learning And Training for Work in the Knowledge Society" that reviews recent training policies, laws and practices of ILO member states. It includes the questionnaire sent to member states asking them to comment on the context of the new instrument. The CD links the questions asked to the full texts of related ILO Conventions and Recommendations, as well as standards promulgated by other international bodies such as UNESCO. Various research papers on the policy, governance and regulatory framework for training systems are also included.
Prepared by the ILOs InFocus Programme on Skills, Knowledge and Employability, the CD will be revised and updated as new information is compiled. The Programme welcomes comments and suggestions for improvement of this information resource.
