Council of Europe Instruments which Encourage Special Provisions to Ensure the Recognition and Certification of Skills and Qualifications for Migrant Workers

European Convention on the Legal Status of Migrant Workers (ETS No. 093, entered into force May 1, 1983)

Article 14 – Pretraining – Schooling – Linguistic training – Vocational training and retraining

  1. The workers' previous attainments, as well as diplomas and vocational qualifications acquired in the State of origin, shall be recognised by each Contracting Party in accordance with arrangements laid down in bilateral and multilateral agreements.
