Provide educational service via EDUNET based on cutting-edge information communications technology (ICT).
Promote full utilization of education and research information by setting up and operating an extensive system.
Secure and provide educational content and core software programs.
Offer training courses that teach educators and students how to make the most of ICT.
Help schools and related government agencies with administrative digitalization.
Provide a high-tech system for cyber and lifelong educational service.

Goals for year 2002

Foster "EDUNET" as a comprehensive educational information service system for more than 6.5 million teachers, students and parents.
Develop "RISS4U" service into a leading national research information system for some 400 universities and research institutes.
Leverage ICT to improve quality of education and reinforce teaching-learning content
Conduct studies and pilot projects on teaching methods using ICT, developing andproviding education models for knowledge-based society.
Build the stable foundation for "nationwide educational administration and information system."
