This longitudinal survey covers the Region of Lorraine. The field work
campaign starts every year in november ending in december. The reference period
for the interview is the twelve months subsequent to when the survey started.
The initial sample is a simple random sample of persons drawn from the
Echantillon Démographique Permanent (EDP) de l'INSEE. Each person leads to one
household. Every person who lives in this household is interviewed and is part
of the intial sample (persons who are followed in the successive waves). In 1988
and 1990 extentions were added to the initial sample by drawing, in the EDP,
persons born after 1985.
