The Vidar is a complete guide to all public adult education and training in
Denmark. Vidar gives you access to general descriptions of education programmes,
single subject programmes, etc. and information on the actual courses: time,
price and place.
Vidar is a public database, financed by the State. R.U.E, The Danish National
Council for Educational and Vocational Guidance, is responsible for the project
in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour.
As a general rule, all courses are taught in Danish. Therefore the majority of
text in this database is in Danish.
General adult education: single subject courses at primary and secondary levels;
Danish, mathematics etc.
"Open education": education and training schemes especially
aimed at adults, including all types of education programmes validated by
examination.
Vocational education and training for adults: a dual education system
corresponding to initial vocational education and training for young people.
Labour Market Vocational Training:Short vocational training courses
including initial vocational training for un-skilled and semi-skilled workers
