Disabled Apprenticeship Wage Support
If a student has a disability that would prevent them from starting a New Apprenticeship because they are mobility restricted or need equipment enhancements to enable them to undertake on-the-job-training, then the Disabled Apprenticeship Wage Support (DAWS) programme may be able to provide assistance.
Under DAWS an employer may be eligible to receive an incentive to accommodate your student’s physical employment needs by providing modifications to the workplace to enable your client to fully undertake all training and work experience required under the training programme.
