Regional Programmes

ASIST was first established in 1990 to support labour-based infrastructure development initiatives in East and Southern Africa.

A similar programme for the Asian and Pacific region was launched in 1998.

Establishment of two other (sub-) regional support programmes has been initiated in West Africa ("ACTIF") as well as in Latin America.
