As a Technical Assistance fellow for the Facility, Clemence - a young and committed Canadian actuary - worked a few months with a Bolivian micro-finance institution (MFI) to develop a life insurance product for their clients. She highlights how knowledge exchange can bring mutual benefits and presents the challenge and potential to develop a product from scratch that meets both the needs of the clients and the insurer, in a fledgling sector.
