Government Programmes in Zambia - Ministry of Community Development and Social Welfare

Under the authority of the Ministry of Community Development and Social Welfare, Women’s Programmes have been undertaken. Their aim is to economically empower rural women, so that they can start income generating activities, such as farming, tailoring, knitting and retail shops. Notably, it is under the Women’s Programmes that women can benefit from the Hammer Mill Project, which consists of hammer mills being given to women’s groups.
