Government Programmes in
Zambia - Entrepreneurship
Various measures have been taken by the Government to accelerate equality of
men and women:
- Working women’s access to loans has been facilitated, since the consent
of the husbands is no longer required. NGOs have set up credit schemes where
loans to women clients are 100 per cent guaranteed.
- Women have been encouraged to carry out small scale industries so that
they will be able to hold money and become economically independent with the
assistance of government establishment institutions to provide funding.
