Government Programmes in Yemen - Entrepreneurship The Social Fund for Development was launched in 1998 to promote micro-enterprise in areas that suffer poverty and unemployment. Identified beneficiaries, both men and women, are provided required facilities, including micro-finance, to establish small enterprises. The fund seeks to encouraging the establishment of productive agricultural schemes usually carried out by women in rural areas as well as encouraging investment in livestock and poultry within the framework of households and other income generating vocations and activities. |
