Courts and Tribunals in Netherlands - Supreme Court

The Supreme Court is usually composed of a panel of five judges. The decisions of the Lower Courts, the District Courts and the Courts of Appeal may be brought before the Supreme Court for an appeal in cassation. This Court must decide on questions of law and not of facts. If it quashes a decision of a lower court, the Supreme Court may either send the case back to this court or render a final judgement.
