Law No. 1 of 2000 (Personal Status)

The Law concerns the regulation of procedures relating to personal status law. Litigation procedures are simplified with a view to ensuring divorced spouses received entitlements. Under the Law, the Nassar Bank is required to pay maintenance awarded to individuals and raise income tax levels in order to procure the necessary resources needed to comply with the law.
