Constitutional provisions regarding equality are the following:

Article 3 [Constitutional Order] grants that "Part of
the constitutional order of the Czech Republic is the Charter of Fundamental
Rights and Freedoms."

Article 96(1) provides that "All parties in legal
proceedings have equal rights before the court".

Article 10 of the constitution of the Czech Republic deals
with the applicability of international human rights treaties in national
law. It gives precedence to human rights treaties over national law, which
in effect, grants all Czech citizens the ability to enforce rights derived
from international agreements in the Czech national courts of law.

Article 10 [Human Rights Treaties] states that
"Ratified and promulgated international accords on human rights and
fundamental freedoms, to which the Czech Republic has committed itself, are
immediately binding and superior to law."
