Department of Public Service and Administration

This Department administers the following policies which are relevant to women employed in the public service:

1. White Paper on Affirmative Action In the Public Service (1998) This sets out the policy framework and mandatory requirements and steps that national departments and provincial administration should take to develop and implement their affirmative action programmes.
2. White Paper on Human Resource Management in the Public Service (1997) which includes employment policies on gender issues.
3. White Paper on a New Employment Policy for the Public Service 2nd Draft" (1997) which includes employment policies on gender issues.
