National Guidelines - Mexico

Agreement for the Reinforcement of the State Productivity and Competitiveness of the State of Mexico Dof 1999-01-08, N°5, Pag 27-30

The agreement has the aim of establishing co-ordinating actions between the Secretariat and the State Government for the reinforcement of the State Productivity and Competitiveness Council of the State of Mexico (CEPROC).

Among its specific aims the following may be mentioned:

  1. to create the necessary information for the definition of policies and priorities at state and federal level;
  2. to agree, evaluate and follow up on labour related inter-sectoral programmes and actions of public, private and social organisations;
  3. to direct sufficient funding to labour training; and,
  4. to promote and co-ordinate programmes directed at guaranteeing equality between women and men at work and in labour relations.

Programme for Women in Rural Development

This Programme has been administered by the Secretariat of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Rural Development effective since 1996 and is primarily a policy instrument for women in rural areas. The programme has as one of its main objectives the awareness raising at institutional level of the importance of the work and problems of rural women.
