National Guidelines in Japan - Harassment in the Workplace

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare administers the following  guidelines  relevant to harassment in the workplace:

  1. Under the EEOL, articles 10, 21-2 and 23-2, the Minister is required to produce guidelines for employers about sexual language and behaviour in the workplace. Guidelines dealing with sexual harassment require employers to clearly state measures for preventing sexual harassment in the workplace, to promote knowledge of the measures among employees and to establish a grievance and counselling centre within the enterprise.
