National Guidelines in the Czech Republic - Equal Pay

Analytical Methodology of Job Evaluation for Manual Workers, Employees and Commercial Employees in the Entrepreneurial Sphere

These guidelines were developed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in 1991. The catalogue of job evaluations was created to facilitate the practical application of the principle of equal pay for work of equal value. It is recommended by the Ministry for use by employers in public and private work relations and can be used by workers’ claiming higher wages under the principle of equal pay for work of equal value.

In 2000 a new catalogue of job evaluations was under preparation, which will apply in connection with the new law on the civil service, and will apply job evaluation to the private sector by analogy.
