Union of Industrial and Employers' Confederations of Europe (UNICE) UNICE was created in 1958. Its objectives include the promotion of the common professional interests of the firms represented by its members; informing the decision-making process at European level so that policies and legislative proposals which affect business in Europe take account of companies' needs; and the representation its members in the dialogue between social partners enshrined in the Treaty on European Union. In particular, UNICE creates working groups in every area where there are developments which need debate, which results in a consensus paper. Samples of collective agreements can be found at the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions. |
