Equality of Opportunity in Education and Training - Coeducation Project by the Commission for the Equality and the Rights of Women (CIDM)

Coeducation: from the principle to the development of practice ("Coeducação: do princípio ao desenvolvimento de uma prática")

This program is a trans-national project, coordinated by CIDM and funded by the European Commission. The ultimate goal of the program is to effectively promote the integration of the theme of equality between men and women in the educational process.

The program is now almost completed and is publishing its results. The program occurred in 3 phases. Firstly, a large amount of pedagogical material was produced. These documents are now available. They were disseminated during the second phase of the project (1999-2000) and their principles were applied in various educational institutions. The results were then discussed. In the third phase, the results were incorporated in the material, which was once again disseminated. This material is now used by various educational institutions in Portugal and abroad.
