Full text of Compulsory Education Bill (2000)

This Bill makes six-year primary education in national schools compulsory, to take effect with the cohort entering Primary 1 from January 2003. Exemptions are given to four categories of pupils, including those who attend schools for religious education (Muslim and Christian), children receiving home schooling and children with special education needs.
