Equality of Opportunity in Education and Training - Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport - Venezuela National Institute for Education and Cooperation (INCE)The Institute is an autonomous organisation, attached to the Ministry of Education and created in 1959. This the leading body involved in vocational and technical training. Decree N. 428 of 1999 states that the Ministry of Education will promote new educational methods to be applied from the commencement of pre-school aimed at eliminating social and cultural stereotypes and prejudices based on the idea of superiority/inferiority of one sex to the other. Equal access to any kind of education, promoting mixed schools, and training education personnel are accordingly some of the tasks of the Ministry according to the Decree. Similarly the Decree establishes the introduction of new programmes, educational material and methods with the view to promote equality among sexes. |
