Equality of Opportunity in Education and Training - Human Employment and Resource Training Programme, National Training Agency (HEART/NTA) - Jamaica

HEART/NTA is the government body responsible for the vocational training system in Jamaica. It was established by the National Training Agency and provides the technical framework to organise the process of programme development and implementation that can be applied across a wide section of training providers. A number of training programmes serve to promote the interests of women.

With regards to equal opportunities, HEART/NTA adheres to non-discrimination against persons in the planning and implementation of its policies as well as in access to its programmes. Trainees in Academies and Vocational Training Centres are taught entrepreneurial skills regardless of gender.
