A Market Place which will take place as an important part of the overall ILO Enterprise Forum. The purpose of the present note is to provide information on some of the practical aspects which are of concern to those who will participate in the Market Place.
Objective of the Market Place.
The Market Place will allow a limited number of enterprises and organizations taking part in the Enterprise Forum to set up an exhibition on a topic related to one of the themes of the Forum i.e. training and employability, job creation and small enterprise development, productivity and competitiveness, social initiatives by enterprises etc. The objective of the Market Place is therefore to provide some practical examples of actual enterprise initiatives and programmes which can illustrate the topics being discussed.
Location of the Market Place.
The market place will be organized at the Forum venue in close proximity to the meeting rooms at the ILO. It will therefore be possible for participants to visit the Market Place at any time during the Forum programme.
Physical facilities available to exhibitors.
The exhibition space will be provided in a very attractive collonade next to the meeting rooms where the Forum will be held. The exhibitions will be placed between a number of tall columns which make up the collonade. A plan of the exhibition space between the columns is available at the ILO Enterprise Forum Secretariat.
The ILO will not be able to provide any equipment or exhibition stalls for exhibitors. Each exhibitor is therefore expected to provide all physical structures required for the exhibition stand. Electricity would be available at the site in close proximity to the stand for lighting purposes, video equipment, computers etc.
The maximum dimensions of an exhibition stand, which will be placed between two tall columns, are: width 4.50 meters, depth 1.20 meters, with no restriction on height.
While the attached photos give an impression of the physical facilities available, all exhibitors are cordially invited to inspect the facilities first-hand at the ILO together with a member of the ILO team responsible for the planning and implementation of the Market Place.
