Since its inception in June 2008, the COOPAfrica Challenge Fund has funded about 70 projects in Eastern and Southern Africa to assist people to improve their living and working conditions through the cooperative self help mechanism. COOPAfrica Phase I will end in December 2010. No new project proposal will be funded until further notice.

Uganda Government Approves Cooperative Development Policy (pdf file 289Kb)
The Government of Uganda has approved a cooperative development policy, the first the country has ever had since Independence in 1962.
