  • Setlabocha Farmers Cooperative Society - Koekoek’ Chicken Hatchers
The study made by several institutions including the government of Lesotho shows that the country is full of poverty-stricken families. This is explained by several unsuccessful attempts to improve agriculture to produce and store grain. The government is producing ‘koekoek’ chickens but they cannot meet the demand. Other individuals have attempted chicken hatching, but are also failing. With long years of experience, Setlabocha Farmers Cooperative Society intends to address the problems through supply production of eggs to supply the plant and by increasing incubators, and meeting demands inside the country and border towns of South Africa as markets for our chickens. At the same time members believe that by trading with eggs of this nature will give them enough profit and protein to feed people protein to protect their bodies from diseases
