About CEART - When we meet

The Joint Committee Sessions, are held every three years, alternatively at UNESCO headquarters in Paris and at the ILO in Geneva.

Sessions vary in length from 3 and 1/2 to 5 working days. These Sessions are closed to the public but may involve interested stakeholders in education by invitation of the Joint Committee.

Initially convened as Ordinary or Special Sessions depending on the nature of the work involved, since 2000 this distinction has been dropped, and now the same type of work is carried out every three years.

Certain reports may be consulted on this site. Reports in print may also be requested from the Joint Secretariat.
