Employment: Human resources development
In the context of a globalized economy, public service reform is one of the essential components of the processes of structural adjustment and transition and obviously involves human resource development of the staff concerned. For more information see the SECTOR Note, “Human Resources Development in the context of structural adjustment” (pdf, 85k), including outcomes of the Joint Meetings addressing the impact of structural adjustment and transition on the public sector and appropriate human resource development policies.
