Lifelong learning
The structural changes societies and economies are undergoing require the
permanent renewal and use of knowledge, skills and learning abilities through
lifelong learning, the comprehensive provision of purposeful learning opportunities
throughout every individual's life span. More information is available in the
ILO report:
Lifelong
learning in the twenty-first century: The changing roles of educational personnel.
Recommended roles and responsibilities of teachers and other education staff
to achieve lifelong learning for all are contained in the consensus (governments,
employers and workers) conclusions of
the ILO’s joint meeting on the theme. |
