Employment and working conditions
in the Ecuadorian flower industry

1. Ruddy, Vincent J. "Exporting to success: Comprehensive strategy to boost development in Ecuador", Final report, MICIP-IDB, 1996.

2. CESSHI: "Working conditions and occupational health conditions: The epidemiological study on roses in Ecuador, 1996 ".

3. The methods used during the research were as follows: A medical check-up of all company workers who voluntarily wished to participate was first administered. This included the recording of felt morbidity and an evaluation of vital signs. Then, through a memory survey, information was requested from those interviewed about their main health problems, symptoms and signs, thus validating the veracity of their answers.
