This USDOL funded project started in November 2001. The intended beneficiaries of the project include senior officials and staff of the ministry of labour, employers' organisations and workers' organisations.
One of the aims of the project is to create an enabling labour relations environment for economic development and social stability through the promotion of social dialogue at the national, sectoral and enterprise levels and through the strengthening of labour administration. The project's approach is centred around the following key interventions: labour law reform, industrial relations systems and labour administration. The project provides training and technical assistance that will assist the Government and social partners to promote decent work and sound labour relations.
