The National Labour Law Profiles that you will find on this site intend
to provide a rapid overview of the labour law in a number of ILO member
States. Their purpose is to facilitate a general understanding of how
the labour law works in each country, and to provide the reader with
easy access to information on a number of topics. However, the profiles
do not intend to give a comprehensive description of the labour law
in any country. Where appropriate, a bibliography and a list of links
is given, directing the reader towards more in-depth information.
While some National Labour Law Profiles have been prepared by serving
ILO officials, others have been contributed by scholars, practitioners
or magistrates from different countries; the ILO would like to extend
its deepest thanks to these individuals.
Furthermore, while it is our intention to update the information contained
in these pages as often as possible, there will undoubtedly be lapses
and we apologize for any dated information.
