Costs The course is sponsored by several donor organisations and students have to pay the admission fees of 350 Euros, costs for external workshop or excursions and their living expenses.
Students from developing or transition countries can apply for a scholarship. A scholarship covers the cost for admission, external workshops, excursions, travel expenses (cheapest economy class ticket) from home country to Germany and a monthly allowance of 650 Euros. However this is a matching grant and an overall additional contribution from the participant, the supporting trade union or another institution of 1500 Euros is required.
Students from industrialised countries will have to cover their costs of living (approximately 650 Euros per month) and the costs mentioned in the first paragraph themselves or apply for grants from their trade unions or other potential donors.

Employment The Master programme is very intensive and you will have virtually no time to do another job. Furthermore to work in Germany a work permit is required. Foreign students are only allowed to work a maximum of 90 days per year. The work permit regulations relating to international students are very strict indeed. You may be expelled from the country if you contravene these regulations.
