The Global Union Research Network (GURN)

Dear Colleague,

We are happy to inform you that we are launching the web site of the Global Union Research Network (GURN) today at www.gurn.info.

The GURN is a follow up of the millennium debate of Global Union Federations (GUFs). The Bureau for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV) is supporting this initiative and cooperates with the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU) and the Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC) to the OECD and many trade unions and research institutions throughout the world to strengthen information sharing, knowledge management and research capacity for trade unions.

On the GURN webpage you can already find information on the following issues:

The following topics will be developed in the near future:
  • PRSPs/IFIs
  • Social & Labour impact of Multinationals
  • Global Trade Union Strategies
A regular newsletter provides information about new research, policy papers and research initiatives. If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter and the GURN listserv, send an email to researchnet@ilo.org

With kind regards

Jim Baker
