Environment, Occupational Health and Workers Rights

The aim is to inform and educate the trade union leaders about Environment issues, the laws and the role of trade unions.  It is hoped that trade union activists will realise both the opportunities and the limitations presented by existing legal provisions.  The bottom line message that HMS wishes to convey is: Environment is a work place issue and workers and the trade unions in India have a constructive role to play.  It's about time that Environment Protection was considered a Tripartite issue.
